Over Reaction And Underreaction In Indian Stock Market: Comparison Based On Analysis Considering Two Different Sets Of Stocks - Short Term And Long Term Perspective
Author:Vineetha S Das,Dr. K Krishnakumar.
Volume: 7 | Issue no: 2-2016 | Pagination: 1-12
The evidence on security returns challenges the traditional view that securities are rationally priced to reflect all publicly available information and the stock prices equals the optimal forecast of it. The overconfidentinformed investor overweight the private signal relative to the public, causing the stock prices to overreact or underreact. Investor over-confidence and biased self-attribution lead to overreaction. The present paper is an empirical analysis that aims at comparing the Indian stock market situation with global markets. The paper also tries to identify the effect of the phenomena during periods prior to and after 2010 and considering both the long and short term perspective.

Volume: 7 | Issue no: 2-2016 | Pagination: 1-9
Facility layout design involves a systematic physical arrangement of different departments, work stations, machines, equipments, storage areas and common areas in a manufacturing industry. In today's competitive global environment, the optimum facility layout has become an effective tool in cost reduction by enhancing the productivity. It has become very essential to have a well organised plant layout for all available resources in an optimum manner to achieve the maximum returns from the capacity of facilities. To achieve the optimisation objectives a lot of techniques are developed by many researchers in the domain area. The objective of this paper is to review the contributions in the field not only for plant layout but re-layout also.
Analysis Of Market Competition In Telecommunications Business: Regulatory Perspective
Author:Settapong Malisuwan, Dithdanai Milindavanij, Wassana Kaewphanuekrungsi And Noppadol Tiamnara.
Volume: 7 | Issue no: 2-2016 | Pagination: 1-12
Competition in the telecommunications market is beneficial to consumers in terms of efficiency improvements. However, it would be difficult for the efficiency of any regulations to be improved under the inefficient market with no competition. As a real, regulations are not always potentially effective and may sometimes be imperfect like the market itself. Accordingly, any regulator's decisions to interfere or any appropriate interfering approaches are considered very necessary and beneficial to consumers. Therefore, it is required that the competitive conditions in telecommunications must be studied and analyzed along with the impacts of telecommunications regulation on the whole industry, consumers, and service providers. This will enable the survey and study of the key indicators which have already been determined so as to point out the problems and obstacles caused from telecommunications operation and the entry of new operators into the market. This particular research will impart the explanation of tools used in analyzing telecommunications businesses, the definition of competitive conditions in markets as well as analyze the problems and barriers to market entry among operators, etc. As a result, telecommunications regulators must play a pivotal role in preserving competitive conditions in the telecommunications market in order to promote telecommunications services to be excellent, have reasonable prices, and give rise to innovations continuously.
Design And Development Of Tool Kit For Team Performance
Author:Vishal V Vernekar,Mahendra N G,Ramesh K T,Jyothi A D.
Volume: 7 | Issue no: 2-2016 | Pagination: 1-8
Henry Ford once quoted that "coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success." Hence performing activities in a group has a different value of its own and yields a better result. An attempt has been made to develop a tool kit which where a game is played with two teams with various scenarios pertaining to flow of information and are validated by statistical tests regarding data collections and the behaviour of individuals are validated using the fuzzy logic approach. The developed kit will act as a pedagogy tool which help organisation in developing an effective team / group for meeting its long & short term organisations goal. Further, the toolkit can have its application in human resource management. It consists of selection, training and evaluating of team members.
Zagreb Indices And Zagreb Coindices Of Some Graph Operations
Volume: 7 | Issue no: 3-2016 | Pagination: 1-17
A topological index is the graph invariant numerical descriptor calculated from a molecular graph representing a molecule. Classical Zagreb indices and the recently introduced Zagreb coindices are topological indices related to the atom - atom connectivity of the molecular structure represented by the graph G. We explore here their basic mathematical properties and present explicit formulae for these new graph invariants under several graph operations.
