Dynamic Modeling And Analysis Of Six-Phase Self-Excited Induction Generator

This paper presents a simple d?q model of a saturated multi-phase (six-phase) self-excited induction generator (SP-SEIG). Multi-phase AC machines are nowadays widely considered as potentially viable solutions for numerous variable-speed drive applications. With an increased emphasis on renewable electric energy generation, while interfacing with the grid typically take place by means of power electronic converter, if the generator is used for stand-alone application. The main advantages of multi-phase machines that make them viable for drive can also be effectively exploited in generating application. In particular, it is shown that the SP-SEIG can operate with a single three-phase capacitor bank. The generator can also supply two separate three-phase loads, which represents an additional advantage. In this paper proposes the modeling and analysis of six phase self excited induction generator under R and RL load condition and also torque and rotor dynamic equation are discussed. The simulation results obtained and compared with three phases self excited induction generator. Results obtained compared with three phase self excited induction generator performance. In power generation application of practical usage this system has sufficient capability.

Recently, several large-scale wind generation projects have been implemented all over the world. It is economically beneficial to integrate very large amounts of wind capacity in power systems. Unlike other traditional generation facilities, using wind turbines present technical challenges in producing continuous and controllable electric power. With increase in contribution of wind power into electric power grid, energy storage devices will be required to dynamically match the intermitting of wind energy. When wind turbines are connected to a grid, they should always maintain constant power. In order to maintain constant active power, the use of Doubly-Fed Induction Generators (DFIG) with Energy Storage System (ESS) like super capacitor (or) batteries can be used, with a two layer control scheme. In the two layers control there is a high-layer controller known as Wind Farm Supervisory Control (WFSC), which generates the active power (P), Stator Power (Ps), Energy storage power (Pe), DC voltage (Vdc) etc., references for the low-layer WTG controllers. The low-layer controller has two different controls i.e., Grid side controller (GSC) and Rotor side controller (RSC) which are used to control the AC/DC/AC converters of DFIG wind turbines and to generate the desired active power demand specified by the grid operator. Simulation is carried out in Matlab to evaluate the performance of wind farm equipped with 15 DFIG wind turbines with and without ESS to provide a constant active power of 36MW

Generally, the non-conventional energy sources are being extensively used in case of power electronic converter based distribution systems. This paper mainly focuses on the wind energy system integrating with grid connected system and also improvement of power quality features. The wind energy power plant is modelled based on associated equations. For improving this power quality problems, this paper proposes the concepts of shunt converter controllers. This paper also proposes the concepts of fuzzy based Thyristor Switched Capacitor and Static Compensator and STATCOM. And also the results are compared for this cases. Thus with such a control, a balanced load currents are obtained even in the presence of non-linear load. The experimental setup is done in Matlab and verified the simulation results.

Learning good image priors is of utmost importance for the study of vision, computer vision and image processing applications. Learning priors and optimizing over whole images can lead to tremendous computational challenges. In contrast, when we work with small image patches, it is possible to learn priors and perform patch restoration very efficiently. This raises three questions - do priors that give high likelihood to the data also lead to good performance in restoration? Can we use such patch based priors to restore a full image? Can we learn better patch priors? In this work we answer these questions. We compare the likelihood of several patch models and show that priors that give high likelihood to data perform better in patch restoration. Motivated by this result, we propose a generic framework which allows for whole image restoration using any patch based prior for which a MAP (or approximate MAP) estimate can be calculated. We show how to derive an appropriate cost function, how to optimize it and how to use it to restore whole images. Finally, we present a generic, surprisingly simple Gaussian Mixture prior, learned from a set of natural images. When used with the proposed framework, this Gaussian Mixture Model outperforms all other generic prior methods for image denoising, deblurring and inpainting.

Bottles are often made of glass, clay, plastic, aluminum or other impervious materials, and typically used to store liquids such as water, milk, soft drinks, ink, chemicals and etc. A device applied in the bottling line to seal the mouth of a bottle is termed an external bottle cap; the bottle has developed over millennia of use, with some of the earliest examples appearing in China, Phoenicia, Rome and Crete. Bottles are often recycled according to the SPI recycling code for the material. Some regions have a legally mandated deposit which is refunded after returning the bottle to the retailer. Blow molding process is pretty much comparable with injection molding but the only difference is that, in this case, heated liquid plastic vertically pours out of barrel-like pot into molten tubes. The vacuum part is created. Most bottles are formed with this type of molding. Hot plastic resin is combined with a pressurized gas to fill and press the mold cavity, forming a hollow part. 3D modeling is done by pro-engineer.

Despite this, no system nonetheless exists that accomplishes effectively and accurately the image meddling detection task. Regardless of whether the photo is novel or controlled, there is quick augmentation in carefully controlled distortions in standard media and on the Internet. In this thesis, the general introduction to the arrangement, design and some basic concept of multi plate wet type clutch. Fluid plays an important role in this type of clutch so some of their properties are discussed. Some losses due to design parameters are also discussed. To meet the requirements of low fuel consumption, good driving performance and manufacturing feasibility. This paper will provide a design overview of the transmission architecture, main characteristics, key subsystems and control strategies. This gives better understanding about working principle of clutch, material used for making the clutch plates. Effect of design consideration can be further studied during its application in various conditions. In this paper, we design a multi plate clutch by using empirical formulas. A 2D drawing is drafted for multi plate clutch from the calculations & a 3D model is created in the modeling Software Pro/E for Automobile Applications. We have conducted structural analysis by varying the friction surfaces material. By extracting the results Comparison is done for both materials to validate better lining material for multi plate clutch to find out which material is best for the lining of friction surfaces. Analysis is done in ANSYS software.
Web Based Monitoring Of Solar Power Plant Using Open Source Iot Platform Thingspeak And Arduino

Now a days renewable energy systems are becoming best way to generate electricity. With advancement of technologies the cost of renewable energy equipments is going down globally encouraging large scale solar photovoltaic installations. Major part of renewable energy is solar energy. Due to its decentralized nature it is very difficult to monitor solar power plants with existing centralized SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) systems. We developed a prototype for implementation of new cost effective methodology based on IoT to monitor a solar photovoltaic plant for performance evaluation using open source tools and resources like Arduino and Thingspeak. Thingspeak is a SaaS (Software as a Service ) platform which provides space on Web to monitor our parameters. Thingspeak provides all services for free of cost. Which saves lot of investment on Website designing and maintenance. We focussed on low cost system with easy interface so that common people who installs roof top solar plants also monitors easily without depending on service providing companies. This will facilitate preventive maintenance, fault detection, historical analysis of the plant in addition to real time monitoring

Sun is a vast source of energy which emits energy in the form of light and heat. Best places to exploit that free, abundant, and environmentally friendly energy are deserts, arid regions, open places and roof tops. But, the main problem with these deserts and open places is dust or dirt. Accumulation of dirt or particles like dust, water, sand and moss on the surface of solar photovoltaic panel obstruct or distract light energy from reaching the solar cells. This is a major problem since the light obstruction materials pose as external resistances that reduce solar photovoltaic performance. We made a microcontroller and voltage sensing integrated system to clean solar panels. Our system is integrated with wiper and provision to add other facilities like water and detergent. The system can work in the night, so there will be no obstruction for the generation of power during the day time. And practically analyzed on 2.2KW plant. Economic analysis with payback period is done. Deploying it ends up being lot of extra power generation, economical and most reliable.
Pv Based Zvzcs Current Control Dc/Dc Bridge Converter For Battery Charging

An PV based DC/DC Boost converter is increases the DC voltage used to charge the traction battery in an electric conveyance. Photovoltaic cells provide an additional method of acquiring energy, converting sunlight directly into electricity through the use of dc / dc converter. The conventional topological failed to operate the converter with zero current and zero voltage switching during no load condition resulting high voltage spikes in the output voltage. In order to attest reliable operation of the bridge converter under wide load variations, the converter should not only operate with soft-switching from no-load to full-load condition, but additionally from full-load to no-load condition making gamut of operation for achieving such stringent requisites and high reliability, the converter employs a symmetric passive way near lossless auxiliary circuit to provide the reactive current for the full-bridge semiconductor switches, which guarantees zero voltage switching at turn-on times for all load conditions. This is a current driven topology in accumulation with a voltage multiplier in order to clamp the output voltage and additionally slake ZVZCS operation of the converter resulting in high voltage gain.
